IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE With this motto, the Jacaranda Nursery & Primary School opened its gates in 2010. Today, the school is a thriving institution, providing education to over 500 children aged 5 to 15.
Impossible is possible
Almost 60 per cent of Kenya’s population is under the age of nineteen, and finishing secondary school is crucial for being able to successfully find a job. The public school system unfortunately cannot fully meet the needs of the pupils, who often crowd into classrooms in threes or fours for each desk, with obvious disadvantages for learning.
WHY GIVING A DESK MEANS GIVING A FUTURE
For almost twenty years, we at the Jacaranda Beach Resort have been responsibly helping Kenyans living in our area. We have built and donated to the community the Jacaranda Beach Primary School, now run by the Kenya Education Authority and attended by over 500 girls and boys. We have made large and small interventions to improve living conditions, always planning them with the residents and entrusting them with the management.
At the end of last year, we opened the Junior Secondary School, next to the Primary, also donated to the community. The three classrooms were soon filled with students (Junior Secondary is attended by 13-17 year olds).
WHAT YOU CAN DO
A bench for the Junior Secondary, made by a local craftsman, costs 60 euro. If you wish, you can personalise the donation with your name.
Monthly we will publish on our website and social profiles the amount reached and order the desks. The delivery to the school will be documented and published.

Today, the school is a thriving reality, providing education to over 500 children between the ages of 5 and 15.
We believe that only through personal growth and commitment can a better future be ensured for the children of a very poor area—just steps away from where so many people enjoy their holidays.
But the school was just the first step. Since then, we have launched a series of projects and initiatives that we continue to support. We invite everyone who believes in the infinite potential of people to join us—not through simple charity, but through responsible support, right here on their land.
Jacaranda Primary School
We built it ourselves, with the support of EDEN VIAGGI and IN VIAGGI.
Located just about a kilometer from the resort, it can easily be visited with a short walk.
The school has become a central meeting point in a community of nearly 10,000 people.
We continue to take care of it, constantly improving the facilities and directly supporting the most vulnerable and deserving children.
You can help too: with just €200, you can cover a full school year for a child and give them the chance to live with dignity.
Madiba Dispensary
The dispensary will function as a clinic, pharmacy, hospital, and emergency center for the entire community of Jikoke/Jacaranda.
At present, even for minor ailments, people must walk for hours, and the more serious cases cannot be treated.
The project costs over €100,000, and donations are welcome.
All progress in fundraising will be shared in the NEWS section of our website, where we’ll also announce the start and advancement of the construction works.
Water Is Life
In 2012, we brought running water to the area—but the job wasn’t done.
Public water pipes follow the main road, serving only hotels and homes nearby.
The real challenge is bringing water to small, isolated communities.
We began by distributing thousands of liters for free to hundreds of families at the start of each month.
In 2017, we extended the water supply lines to two small villages.
Now, women no longer have to walk kilometers just to get water for their homes.

…make a river. All it takes is a look around to see that the opportunities to offer responsible support are endless. From donating football shoes to a proud local team, to helping with transportation for schoolchildren attending official competitions, to paving the floor of a church that serves as a gathering place for the entire community.

How to Donate
To support a child’s education, the annual contribution is €200, continuing until the student completes their school program.
You may specify the school project as the purpose of your donation. If you wish, your name can be mentioned on our CREDITS page.
For the dispensary project, donations are open and voluntary. Fundraising progress, start of construction, and project updates will be published in the news section.
